Today was a day for Districts 5 - 8 to work on math.  Each group had time with Ms. Helms to work on ways to study.  Groups found "secret" ways in which to learn using memory aids.  As you can see, groups were gathered for preparations.

Today's math problems involved shapes, perimeters, and calculating area of the shapes. Tributes were selected to organize their District into some of these shapes.

    As demonstrated here, students can associate objects with certain procedures that should help them solve problems.  Learning exercises such as this should aid in recall.

 Sometimes, the students just need to have FUN!      Like taking on Mrs. Helms in a friendly game of 2     on 1.  I'll let the students tell you who won:)
